The church was founded by late Apostle/Pastor Alvin L. Brown and his wife Pastor Cheryl Brown on August 24, 2002 and was named True Worship Center. Apostle Alvin L. Brown was a powerful preacher that put God first. His heart was so giving he adored his family, congregation, and community. He labored diligently in service for God until his sudden death on December 26, 2007. Pastor Cheryl Brown was called to pastor True Worship Center.

Cheryl A. Brown is a native of Sarasota, Florida. She was born on January 30, 1959. She was ordained as Pastor and Prophetess of True Worship Center on January 24, 2010 by Apostle Gregory Ingram, Temple of Praise. Pastor Cheryl Brown is a “Powerfully Anointed” Woman of God who impacts the lives of many lost souls.
